Went to S.Korea on 26th April @2240hrs... arrive at Incheon Airport at 0540 hrs... this is considered Day 1 (cheating yes???) - small group only 16 of us - very nice companion, all on time and most speak cantonese!! the 3 of us are the oldest aunties!

DAY 2 - Incheon - Yongin - Jeonju

1st stop - Yongin Everland (Almost 2 hrs journey fr airport) - it's a huge amusement park. Right now it's springtime and they have flower carnival - very lovely!
Visited the safari world there - sat in a bus with the lions, tigers, bears etc roaming around us.
Another attraction is the simulator ride - much better than our science centre one- they have real water sprays at us and wind blowing too! Mum enjoyed it!

Afternoon - visited the strawberry farm - picked them and eat! Bought a box, cost $8 - finished them in a day!

Evening - visited traditional wine museum.

Dinner - had a traditional Korean dinner - sat on mats on floor - with lots of kimchi
and veg... not nice if you r a meat eater!!

End of day all of us were shacked! Not much sleep in the plane and no rest at all the whole day. Checked into Riviera Hotel after 8pm... Slept from 9.30 - 6.30am --- one of the longest day of my life.

DAY 3 - Jeonju - Daegu

Visited Maisan Provincial Park Mountain - there are 2 mountain peaks - one stands for male and the other female where people go there to pray for babies.

At the base - there are BBQ wild boar - tried some, rather nice.. The place is also popular for ginseng and chillies. Just learned that bananas are very expensive - more than 5 times the price here.

Afternoon visited a temple

Then went to spa valley - tried the spa - everyone's naked! It's an experience - the bath is aromatic - jasmine, rose , pine... sauna, cold bath, tanning ...

Dinner - had steamboat... Stayed in Daegu Park Hotel.. Checked in late too ---

DAY 4 - Daegu - Yongpyong Resort

The journey to this ski resort is 5 hours... Enroute stop at Dodamsambong - where we see the formation of a S figure by 3 rocks that protruded in the middle of the Nambangang River.

Arrived at Yongpyong resort - this is where the drama series winter sonata was filmed
took a gondola ride to enjoy the scenic mountain views - it's like a cable car ride

Dinner - BBQ .... Stayed at Dragon Valley Hotel

DAY 5 - Yongpyong Resort - Yangju - Seoul

Visited the site where they filmed "Dae Jang Geum" drama series - never heard of that show - but will be borrowing soon

Next went to Namsam Tower - it's 400m high - view not so nice 'cos whether was not so sunny

Afternoon did some shopping at Myung Dong Street - did not buy much - only edible items -- clothings, bags are not cheap.

Dinner - had ginseng chicken - the best meal in the whole trip

Stayed at Holiday Inn - 5 star hotel - no swimming pool - No breakfast there (maybe too expensivea!)

DAY 6 - SEOUL

They took us to eat at a Chinese Restaurant - food better than korean food but not fantastic.

Visited Presidential House (they call it blue house instead of white house)

Next went to the Changdukgung Palace

Then went shopping again - at Dongdaemum Market ... this is where the 2002 world cup was held.... One of the stadiums was converted into a car park .... such a waste!!

Evening had BBQ - another nice meal

DAY 7 - Seoul - Incheon -Singapore

Checked out at 9 am. Visited amethyst factory - bought some items.. Did more shopping again .. Home sweet home at 4pm.... reach home after 10pm

Overall it's a tiring trip... early morning calls, going places , alot of walking walking...
