UNEASY FEELING

Don't know whether it's really bad or not........ There's this person in our care who is really very ill with multiple organ failure after surgery and the docs are trying very hard to prolong his life.... Most of us wish him to be dead but not during our shift 'cos his relatives create hell for us!!! Finally he's gone and a load was off our chest including mine! BTW he's like a locked in syndrome --- able to comprehend but unable to move or response well... think it's also kinder for him to leave this world.... Make me think of my end - should I not be able to move and need to be hooked on a ventilator - just let me go but please please please give me morphine or something similar so that I can drift away peacefully... I don't like pain and don't want to be gasping for breath for long!!!
